For some reason english folks dig out music. When the LP came out we heard rumors of it being played on BBC radio in the UK but we just figured their taste in music was much like their taste in food. Horrible. Low and behold the BBC contacted us about doing a a 20 minute set of music that inspired us. We dusted off all out Lawrence Welk and Black Flag records and make a humdinger of a set. They rejected it and asked us to do a Christmas set. I told them we are one of the only surf bands that have multiple songs abut satan and going to hell. They didn't care and wanted a Cormans' Christmas set. So we gave them one and they slightly edited it. I guess we are a "holiday band" now. They called us on the phone a few weeks back and did a quick little interview too. It's going to be up for the next 7 days go check it out! Our spot shows up at about the 1:40 mark.

Went down to San Diego to play a show and met up with our pal Mikey Ratt. We ended up doing a lot of swapping one of the things we ended up with is his guest promodel Devo board. This thing is hand cut energy dome nose, two tone paint, and OG devo graphics. Made in the USA at Watson Laminates for Patines Americanos. Well it's been in the works for almost 2 years and it's finally done. Dano killed it. It's a beast 10'6" double stepdeck, Rat Fink green pigment resin, custom creature face lam on the bottom, custom Cormans model by Dano lam on the top, and a pepto bismol pink dick shaped fin. The van made it on to Hot Rods Magazine's web exclusive on the Council of Councils van show. Good thing that they snapped a photo of our van this year because this event was gay is hell and I most likely will not be going next year. It felt like at a Sci-Fi convention except these nerds didn't even make an effort to hire one hot chick to dress up like Princess Leia in a metal bikini. Just a bunch of weird creepy old dudes walking around in lab coats with shitty vans. Their van wizardry and Jedi mind tricks did not convince me of anything other than me wanting to leave and get some food. That aside I met some really nice folks from back east and I got to hang with Vandrew and Oscar from the Vandejos. I have said it before and I will say it again Vans Are Gay!

So awhile back i was cruising on Mike Black's Surf A Pig Blog and I came across a post featuring this cat Chris. He wrote Mike telling him he is an RN and a amateur surfboard shaper and was inspired by Mike to shape a pig? Well Chris went and shaped himself a psychedelic 9'8" oinker and decided to put Thee Cormans model Captain Fin in it. I was like "Whoa man that's crazy!!! I thought they only made 10 of those!" So I scroll down a little farther and on closer inspection it looks like Chris made his own little Thee Cormans zip up hoodie! Long story short this kid Chris is a nut and probably slays the babes down at the beach! Chris hit us up if ya see this!

This pic is from a gig we played awhile back in Long Beach. I believe Devo took this photo. The story on it is these 2 kids came up to us before the gig and were like "Man we love you guys! So stoked to see you tonight!" we replied "Right on man." then continued loading our gear in. Well a few shitty opening bands later we were up. These kids had their buzz on way before this. They move right up front as soon as we are done setting up. We play a song or 2 and tell the audience "This is the coolest gay bar we have ever played and we are stoked to have our number one gay couple upfront rocking with out with us. Why don't you two fellas kiss and show how beautiful queer love is." They kissed. Not just a peck but a real kiss. Everyone was disgusted, we were cracking up calling them names and everyone had a good time. Until they they did something to the Creature (Guitar player) and he punched both of them. While the rest of us continued played. It was a success.
